Water

"Water" was shot in Upper Antelope Canyon located outside Page, AZ. It is called a slot-canyon because of the narrow passage way. The walls rise upwards of 100 feet and the pathway never widen more than 3 feet. Every year raging rain waters rush through the canyon leaving their impact on the walls they smooth.

SAND

When the waters are not rushing through washing away several feet of sand on the canyon floor, sand and dust are falling in to replenish what the water has stole. The canyon floor will rise and lower up to ten feet each year.

COLOR

The light moves swiftly through the canyon and disappears just as fast. At times you can't see your hand. But walk three more steps and see light bouncing around, lighting the canyon bright. The colors dance throughout as well. Photo sensors fail to convey the richness of light and color.

GLEN MORNING

Glen Canyon Dam holds back the Colorado River to form Lake Powell. From this Utah vantage point you can see the juxtaposition of the sacred Navajo Mountain just down the road from billowing coal smoke stacks.

Denton morning

Summer is quiet in Denton. Summer mornings are just plain sleepy. There is something truly special about downtown on an early summer morning.

ART DENTON

A disorienting view of our beloved courthouse. This perspective allows for even more appreciation of the timeless architectural design that will turn 121 years old this year.

Westside View

Good panoramas need a tripod. They are necessity for stability and stitching multiple images together. Which prompted a question: "Can I use the stability of a drone to take a multiple shot pano?" Question answered.
